Following talks held in Baku between the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natik Aliyev and Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, the sides signed a protocol, Ministry's press secretary Azer Mensimli said.

The protocol agreed upon issues of establishing a joint venture to transport Azerbaijani liquefied natural gas to Ukraine, export Azerbaijani oil and petroleum products to this country, said Mensimli

During the meeting, work was also conducted on an agreement on measures to develop cooperation in oil transportation through Ukraine's territory and the memorandum on cooperation in organizing the supply of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine, signed after a meeting of Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine in January.

Azerbaijani liquefied gas to Ukraine can be delivered via Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romanian Interconnector (AGRI), which involves the supply of liquefied natural gas from Azerbaijan via Georgia and the Black Sea to Romania.
