SOCAR prepares strategy until 2025

SOCAR has prepared a long-term strategy until 2025, SOCAR official Suleyman Gasimov.

"The primary version of the strategy has been prepared," he said. "But it was sent back for revision." He said that the main issue is the complexity of accurate forecasting for such a long period.

"But we think to adopt a strategy this year," Gasimov said. He said that the strategy will cover all areas of SOCAR's activity.

SOCAR is the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. SOCAR's oil and gas enterprises produced 7.28 million tons of oil and more than 7 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010.

SOCAR and foreign partners are involved in such major projects as the development of the block of oil and gas fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
