Business council of Turkic-speaking states to be established

A Business Council will be established as part of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-Speaking States. The activities of the Council will include considering specific business projects of the state of Turkic world, head of the Cooperation Council's Secretariat Khalil Akinchy said in an interview.

"This Council will unite our entrepreneurs who can share their ideas and projects. It can become a platform for joint projects," said Akinchy.

A memorandum on the establishment of the Business Council is planned to be signed by the heads of Turkic-speaking states during Cooperation Council's summit in Almaty on Oct. 20-21. First meeting of the Council will take place as part of the summit.

The goals of the Business Council will include removal of economic barriers between the Turkic states.

"We already have a specific project that will be proposed at the meeting of economic ministers for development at the Business Council. It deals with transportation of goods between our countries," he said.

A meeting of economic ministers will also take place at the summit, however, it has not yet been decided whether it will be in Astana or Almaty.
