Azerbaijan decreases oil production

Azerbaijan decreased the oil production and increased gas production during January-August, 2011.

State Statistical Committee says while 34.3 mln tons of oil and 11.3 bn cubic meters of gas was produced in January-August, 2010, during the same period of 2011, the oil production declined by 7.6%, natural gas production rose 52.2%.

Note that, total production in mining extraction section of the industry during the reporting period decreased by 5.5%.
