
In January-August, 2011, volume of GDP in Azerbaijan made AZN 292.5 mln by increasing in comparison with the figures for the corresponding period last year by 1.1% or AZN 292.5 mln.
SSC says, 66.8% of the GDP accounted for the manufacturing sector, including 53.3% - industry, 7.3% - construction, 6,2% - agriculture.
The share of transport sector in GDP was 6.2%, 8.3% - trade and paid services, 1.7% - communication, 11.3% - social and other spheres. Net taxes on production and imports accounted for 5.9% of GDP.
GDP per capita amounted to an average of AZN 3 418.4 ($3 320.6). During the reporting period, the GDP in non-oil sector grew by 8.5%, while GDP in the oil sector declined by 6.2%.
