Industrial production prices decrease in Azerbaijan

Prices for industrial production in Azerbaijan decreased by 4.5 percent in August compared to previous months, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.

Production prices on industrial goods in the mining industry decreased by 5.4 percent for oil and gas production - for sand, crushed stone, and other goods, prices have increased by 0.9 percent.

In August, the price index of industrial products in the processing industry remained unchanged. A 1.8- percent price increase was seen in furniture production, rubber and plastic products - 0.9 percent, jewelry, music, sports and medical equipment - 0.5 percent, printing - 0.3 percent, computers and other electronic equipment - 7.2 percent , tobacco - 2 percent, chemical products - 1.9 percent, electrical equipment- 0.8 percent, construction materials - 0.4 percent, and paper and paperboard - by 0.2 percent .

A price decline was observed on the products of metallurgical industry - by 1.3 percent, machinery and equipment - 0.1 percent , food industry - 2 percent, clothing - 1.8 percent, installation and repair of machinery and equipment - 2. 4 percent.
