Azerbaijani SSPF fulfills budget with surplus of 17 million manat

The budget surplus of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) of Azerbaijan amounted to 17 million manat in January-August.

Revenues of the SSPF amounted to 1.338 billion manat from January through August, showing an increase of 212.9 million manat or 18.9 percent since the same period last year, the Fund reported.

Some 774.5 million manat of the fund’s revenue fell to obligatory state social insurance fees, showing an increase of 85.1 million manat or 12.4 percent since the same period last year.

Some 58.7 percent of revenue, or 455 million manat, fell to the extra-budgetary sector, which is higher by 13.1 percent or 52.6 million manat, compared to the same period last year. The forecast was performed at 100.34 percent.

Incomes from fees on obligatory state social insurance of individuals currently engaged in business increased by 14.2 percent, compared to the same time last year; income from the same landowners’ fees increased by 19.9 percent.

Income from the organizations financed from the state budget amounted to 319.4 million manat, which is higher by 11.3 percent, or 32.5 million manat, compared to the same period last year.

During this period, the Fund's expenses amounted to 1.321 billion manat. Some 1.292 billion manat were allocated to finance pensions and allowances, which is by 18.6 percent, or 202.8 million manat compared to the same period last year.

More than 1.256 billion manat were allocated to finance pensions (with an annual growth of 18.7 percent, or 198.1 million manat) and 35.6 million manat were allocated for benefits.
