Azerbaijani population increases consumption of goods by 10 percent

Consumer goods worth 10.2 billion manat were sold to Azerbaijani population within eight months of 2011, or 10.1 percent more than the same period of last year, the State Statistics Committee said.

Consumer goods worth 9.9 billion manat were sold in retail trade facilities, goods worth 320.6 million manat - catering facilities. About 60.7 percent were spent for food, 39.3 percent - non-food items.

Cash services were rendered to the amount of 3.2 billion manat, or 7.7 percent more than for the relevant period of last year.
