Baku hosts regional seminar on the legal basis for Green Economy

Today, a seminar on “Legal basis for the Green Economy in the Member States of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC): regional analysis and dialogue systems and prospects” was held in Baku by the support of the State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Industry and Energy.

Delivering speech at the event deputy director of Agency Jamil Melikov said that several serious works were carried out currently in Azerbaijan in connection with development of “green economy”, in particular alternative energy sphere: “Basically, there are three basic points for the development of alternative energy. They are - administration of the state, development of legislation and funding”.

The main objective of the seminar - to determine needs and priorities of the “green economy”, etc.

The event was attended by experts from Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine and other countries.
