SOCAR launches new type of petroleum product sales in Eastern Europe

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is launching a bunker business in Ukraine, SOCAR Energy Ukraine said.

An oil bunkering vessel "Baku-1" was set afloat at the Kyiv shipyard of SOCAR Energy Ukraine today. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli and SOCAR Energy Ukraine Head Elchin Mammadov attended the ceremony.

The vessel is of impressive sizes. The project was first implemented in the Eastern Europe. The newest water-based filling station will offer to vessels the branded oil products of SOCAR - petrol Nano 95 and Nano Diesel for refueling. The Buta market store will be established on deck, of the vessel, the office said.

The company plans to supply this season small and medium-sized vessels of Kiev, and those flying in the waters of the Dnieper River with the branded petroleum products and products of "Buta market" near the Paton bridge.

The calculation will be made through the cash register AKM POS, which provides control of technological equipment and delivery of petroleum products and related products. Customer can pay for purchased fuel and goods using fuel cards "sCard" and other oil traders of Ukraine. VISA Electron and Master Card will also be accepted for payment.

SOCAR has a number of filling stations in Ukraine.
