Government of Japan implements projects in Zagatala region

A project for “Improvement of waste management system in Zagatala” was implemented in Zagatala region of Azerbaijan within the “Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme” provided by the Government of Japan.

Japan`s ambassador to Azerbaijan Shushke Vatanabe, chief of Zagatala executive power Mubariz Ahmadzadeh, deputies and the public participated in the event. Director of the Center of Studies, Training and Resource on Community Development Yasin Dadashov briefed on the project.

Mr. Vatanabe said numerous projects, including environment, social protection, health, medicine and education spheres were implemented in Azerbaijan. Up to now, 139 projects with a total amount of $ 10,302,000 have been implemented in the country. “It is the third project implemented in Zagatala region with a total amount of 101,975 dollars,” said ambassador.
Mr. Ahmadzade said the relations between Azerbaijan and Japan were rapidly developing in all spheres. He thanked the government of Japan for realization of the project.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the participants familiarized themselves with the waste managament ground of the building.
