German ambassador: Azerbaijan is one of our major oil suppliers

Germany`s ambassador in Baku Herbert Quelle has said Azerbaijan is one of his country`s major oil suppliers.

“Azerbaijan is seventh among main suppliers of oil to Germany,” he noted.
The ambassador said Germany exported 700 million euros worth goods, in particular vehicles, to Azerbaijan.

“The bilateral trade between our countries made 2 billion euros in 2010.” On the German-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, Quelle said its opening will increase German businessmen`s interest in investing in Azerbaijan`s economy.

“This will help us assist Azerbaijan in diversifying its economy, which is a key priority in Azerbaijan`s policy,” added the ambassador.
