Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture meets with WB representative

Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov met with World Bank’s manager on Azerbaijan Joseph Owen.

According to Ministry, the main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the issues on the second stage of “Agricultural investment projects in Azerbaijan (AzRIP)” and exchange opinions on Azerbaijan’s agricultural strategy.

I. Abbasov has stressed the WB’s role in development of non-oil sector, including agriculture sector in Azerbaijan.

Minister also spoke about the successful results of AzRIP and completion of preparatory works on this project. HE noted that, Azerbaijan would continue the cooperation with this organization in the future.

In turn, J.Owen noted that, they would de their best for extension of these relations.
