
Prices of consumer goods and services dropped 8.7% year-on-year.
Prices of consumer goods and services dropped by 0.8% in July, foodstuffs prices cheapened 1.6%, non-food prices soared 0.1%, service tariffs remained unchanged, compared to June.
As compared to January-July 2010, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 8.8%, foodstuffs – 12.31%, nonfood – 2.9%, service tariffs – 4.3%.
Remind that, annual inflation in the country made 8.7% in January-July, 2011, as well food prices rose 11.9%, non-food – 2.8%, service tariffs – 4.3%.
Note that, IMF forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan for 2011 as 10.3%. But ADB forecasts it as 4%. According o prognoses of Azerbaijani government, this year, the inflation will be 5%.
