
London-based the Middle East Association welcomed Fakhraddin Gurbanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom, as Guest of Honor for an Ambassadorial Lunch at Bury House.
Representatives of the British business circles attended the lunch. According to APA, Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov spoke about the investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.
Charles Hollis, Director General of the Middle East Association, welcomed the guests and reminded about the successful business trip of the representatives of British companies to Azerbaijan organized by the Association. He said Azerbaijan had large economic opportunities and such business trips would have regular character in the future. Charles Hollis emphasized that British businessmen will visit Azerbaijan in September again.
Ambassador Gurbanov thanked the organizers of the event and informed the participants in details about the history, foreign policy of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan-UK relations, development of Azerbaijan’s economy, priorities, investment opportunities, advantageous investment environment, reforms conducted by the government in this field and achievements.
Ambassador welcomed the British companies’ interest to Azerbaijan and invited them to establish business relations with Azerbaijan and to develop cooperation. Then he answered the questions of the participants.
Invest in Azerbaijan 2011 guide-book published by the UK-Azerbaijan Business Council was presented to the participants of the event.
