Number of service vehicles for state organizations limited in Azerbaijan

Number of cars used in Azerbaijan’s state organizations and volume of fuel spent for them will be limited, it has been considered in the law on improvement of instructions of vehicles at the state-financed institutions, enterprises and organizations in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The limit related to number of vehicles concern all state bodies, except military organizations, national security, law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies, district (city) courts.

Number of cars for district (city) executive powers has also been determined in the law. According to decision, head of executive power, his deputies, representative on city, settlement and rural representatives will have 1 car per head. 2 cars are considered for city courts of Baku, Ganja and Sumgayit cities.

The most interesting thing in the law is connected with sale of cars belonging to state bodies. The service vehicles more than the limit will be sold by the State Committee on Property Issues.

Number, kilometrage and exploitation normative for service vehicles for Azerbaijani diplomatic representations and consulates abroad will be determined within 3 months.

Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has been tasked to make appropriate decision on providence of effective use of budget means during purchase and exploitation of service vehicles and other special-purpose vehicles.

According to norms, kilometrage for service vehicles is 2000 km, trucks, buses and special purpose vehicles – 1500 km, motorcycles, – 500 km, passenger cars, which serve to guests – 1000 km.

According to limit, 83 vehicles will be given to Finance and Taxes Ministry, 81 - Ministry of Youth and Sport and SSC, 80 - State Employment Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
