Passenger transportation increases by 6.5% in first half of 2011

In January-June, 2011, 99.6 mln tons of cargo was transported by transport establishments and individuals engaging in motor transport, in Azerbaijan, up 5.7% compared to a year earlier.

At the same time, 699.4 mln persons have been transported during the same period, up 6.5% from year ago. 10.6% of cargo was transported by railway, 52.2% - by sea, 31% - by pipeline. 86.6% of passengers was transported by motor, 13.1% by metro.
