Presentation ceremony related to registration of individuals engaged in entrepreneurship in online regime held in Azerbaijan

Today, a presentation ceremony related to registration of individuals engaging in entrepreneurship in online regime was held in Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Taxes has started the registration of individuals via Internet Tax Department since July 1, 2011.

Representatives of government structures, international and local organizations, entrepreneurship units attended the presentation ceremony. THE participants were informed about the application of e-registration. It was noted that, application of e-registration system was realized within the Action Plan adopted by Ministry of Taxes related to President’s order on “Several measures on organization of e-services conduction of state bodies” dated to 23 May, 2011.

Advantages of e-registration system were spoken at the event.

At the same time, online registration of individuals will reduce the time losses in tax payers and tax agencies. According to initial assessments, application of e-registration will save AZN 1 mln per year.


Ministry of Taxes passes the information about registered individuals to State Social Protection Fund, State Statistical Committee, State Customs Committee and any banks in online regime.

Presentation of renewed Internet Tax Department was held during the event. E-registration sector was established in the department, design and navigation of www.e-taxes.gov.az portal were improved and simplified.

After presentation ceremony, a briefing was held for media representatives.
