2 km more to be repaired in direction of Baku-Boyuk Kasik Railroad

Within the framework of “Railway
Trade and Transport Facilitation Project” financed by Azerbaijani
government and WB, 215 mln ˆ-loan contract has been signed with Eximbank
company of the Czech Republic. 317 km in direction of Baku-Boyuk Kasik
will be repaired, spokesman for Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov
told APA.
He said frame contract had been signed between Azerbaijan Railways and
Moravia Steel company of the Czech Republic for purchase of devices,
machines and tools, equipment and their spare parts. 41,210 tons of 65
types of tracks are agreed to buy from Trşinets Celezarnı plant of the
Czech Republic. More than 100 km tracks and spare parts have already
been brought to the country.
583,280 reinforced concrete ties necessary for capital repair will be
produced at Alat plant for the production of sleepers
("Azərinşaatservis").
Azmammadov noted that today 2 km more would be repaired on the 96-94 km
of Agstafa-Tatli section. The maintenance will be finalized in the
evening. Control group of Eximbank company of the Czech Republic
observes the process of repair. After repair works end, it will be
possible to reach speed of trains on these roads to 140km/h. capital
repair has been started on June 10, on the 97th km of Agstafa-Tatli
section.
