Azerbaijan and Turkey start production of 120 mm caliber mine throwers

Azerbaijan and Turkey will soon start the production of 120 mm caliber mine throwers, Machine and Chemistry Industry Corporation (MKE) said.

Preparations are being made for the process of production in accordance with the contract signed in Istanbul in May.

The process of production will be realized by Heavy Weapons Factory and Steel Foundry of MKE and “Sherg” production unit of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry.

HY1-12 mine thrower created by MKE has long-range firing capability. It can both be used for single and automatic fire.
