Azerbaijan’s customs agencies increase budget transfers by 19% in May

AZN 101.021 mln funds have been transferred to the state budget via State Customs Committee during May, 2011, up 0.8% compared to April, 18.7% to a year earlier.

According to the SCC, AZN 18.211 mln were transferred to the state budget as customs duties, AZN 75.548 mln as VAT. AZN 6.361 mln were collected on excises, AZN 0.990 mln on road taxes. Customs duties decreased by 20%, charges on VAT rose 6.1%, on excises – 18.3% and on road taxes – 1.1% compared to April.

Totally, customs agencies have transferred AZN 441.811 mln in January-May, 2011. Of this, AZN 90.693 mln were customs duties, AZN 325.199 mln – VAT, AZN 21.377 mln – excises and AZN 4.543 mln – road taxes.

Note that, the volume of transfers during 5 months rose 13.1% compared to a year ago.
