Baku-Sumgait light railway may be built after 2015

The issue of constructing the Baku-Sumgait light railway may become urgent after 2015, the head of the economy and transport policy department under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport Sadraddin Mammadov said.

Mammadov said that this project is currently one of minor priority. However, talks about its implementation may resume after 2015.

"The new road will be modern and fully automated with advanced management systems," Mammadov said.
