"All hotels in Azerbaijan will provide online-booking service from autumn"

All the Azerbaijani hotels will provide online-booking service from the autumn.

"All hotels in Azerbaijan will have to connect to online booking system," Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev told reporters on Thursday.

He said all hotels will be able to take orders via the Internet approximately from September-October.

Recently booking a room at hotels in Azerbaijan has become easier - the country has introcuded a system of online booking of rooms. The system is available in English, Russian and Azerbaijani languages: www.bakutourism.az.

Some Azerbaijani hotels have been registered in the world's leading Internet portals for online booking, including the largest booking.com.

At present, most global hotel operators are represented inAzerbaijan - Noliday Inn, Hilton, Park Inn, Radisson SAS, Ritz-Carlton, Missoni and Hyatt. Hotels are located primarily in Baku and major cities.

In 2010, 21 legal entities and individuals obtained licenses for the provision of hotel services. Currently 295 hotels and hotel-type facilities operate in the country based on the license of the Ministry.
