About 60,000 tourists expected to arrive in Azerbaijan during Eurovision contest

About 60,000 tourists are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan during the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest, Minister of Culture and Tourism o Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev told journalists.

Minister said the organizing committee conducted preparation work now and soon the venue of the song contest would also be determined.

Garayev said the ministry instructed the hotels to create online registration system and improve professional skills of the personnel for improvement of the services. He said online registration system would be ready to operate in September.

Garayev said six new five-star hotels were being built in Baku and six hostels would also be opened soon.

The tourists arriving in Azerbaijan during the song contest will also have an opportunity to taste Azerbaijani national cooking in Baku restaurants. We will also organize trainings for the hotel personnel.
