Azerbaijan’s budget surplus makes AZN 1.2 bln in January-April

Azerbaijan’s state budget received AZN 4 bln and expenditure AZN 2.8 bln and the surplus made AZN 1.2 billion for January-April, 2011 said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the SSC, 34.5% or AZN 973.3 mln of expenditure went to development of economy, AZN 452.9 mln (16.1%) to social protection and social security, AZN 465.3 mln (16.5%) to education ad health. AZN 1.2 bln or 41.4% went to wages, pensions, and scholars.

Budget expenditure remained unchanged compared a year ago, income rose 25%, surplus increased by 7.8 times.
