Azerbaijan’ ICT sector quintupled during past 6 years

Azerbaijan’ ICT sector quintupled during past 6 years, Deputy Minister of Communication and IT Elmir Valizadeh informed.

According to him, the growth rate of ICT in first quarter of 2011, made 24%: "Azerbaijan’s ICT sector rose 30-35% per year, during past 5 years. The analogical positive dynamic is expected to be observed at the end of this year".

He stated that, the main target in development of ICT in Azerbaijan was to increase the ICT revenues to oil-gas revenues for 2020-2025.
