Azerbaijan Airlines to purchase new Boeing passenger plane today

Azerbaijan Airlines will purchase new Boeing 767-300ER passenger plane, today, AZAL Service Chief Maharram Safarli informed.

According to him, AZAL has purchased 174-seat 2 Airbus-319 and 4 Airbus-320 aircrafts, since December 24, 2010: “Today, AZAL will bring new Boeing 767-300ER airliner. The plane will enter the AZAL airpark at second half of the day. Other new Boeing plane will be brought in first half of 2012. New Boeings will be used for the flights to Prague, London, Tel-Aviv, Aberdeen, Paris and cities”.

He also noted that, AZAL intends to purchase 2 Boeing-787 Dreamliner planes. These planes will be used for flights to America and other continents and cities.

Remind that, AZAL has a contract with US Boeing Company and according to this contract, AZAL will change its new purchased two Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircrafts to a Boeing 767-300ER and two Boeing-767 (transport aircraft). In total, AZAL will buy 8 aircrafts from Boeing Company. Two of them will be Boeing 767-300ER, two – Boeing-767, two – Boeing-737 and two – Boeng-787-8 aircrafts.
