SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has no plans to consider the issue to develop its own refining capacity in Ukraine in the short-term period, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said at the opening of the first petrol station of SOCAR in Kiev, Prime-TASS reported.
Abdullayev said that Ukraine has a large processing capacity, and therefore, there is no need to build new refineries. However, he said that SOCAR does not reject the plans to build a refinery in Ukraine or participate in existing plants.
"The issue that we do not consider the question of developing our own processing capacity in the short-term period does not mean that we do not envisage this possibility at all," said Abdullayev.
