SOCAR president: "Thereafter, we will purchase every share, whoever sells"

The State Oil Company will try to increase its shares in international contracts, said SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev: "Thereafter, we will purchase every share whoever sells".

Abdullayev noted that the works on purchasing of Devon Energy company’s share in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field block are about to be completed: "We are working on this. As you know, SOCAR has purchased Devon’s share in Contract of the Century. We purchase near 1.6% share and the procedures on this is likely to be completed. We asked to BVPB and purchased it, it means we purchase half of Devon’s share in BP".
