Azerbaijan discusses merchant acquisitions development

The Visa Int. payment system held a workshop for commercial banks on visa cards and merchant acquisitions with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan today.

The workshop was held as part of measures aimed at development of payment cards market and card infrastructure in Azerbaijan.

The workshop of "Visa Int." was attended by VISA Regional Manager for CIS Alexander Kalita, product manager for South-Eastern Europe and CIS countries Sergei Koptik and manager for development of payment cards acceptance network in the countries of the CIS and South-Eastern Europe Igor Nochka.

The workshop provided information on debit card products, wage payment cards.
