Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry and Turkiush company start joint serial production

Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry (MDI) and Trabzon Gun Industry (TISAŞ) will start the joint serial production of 3 model pistol in Baku form the second half of this year, head of TISAŞ company Omar Hajioglu said.

Saying that they had finished the preparations to start serial productions in Azerbaijan, Hajioglu added that the retardation of the production till now was related to the non-bringing of mountings on time.

MDI and TISAŞ will carry out the production of "Inam", "Zafar", "Zafar-K" pistols. The samples of the pistols have been already produced Azerbaijan and successfully tested.

Saying that TISAŞ is specialized in the sphere of pistol production, the company head added that they demonstrated some new models, as well as new model of 9 mm caliber pistol of 1911 and polymeric hall pistols in IDEF-2011 this year. He underlined that TISAŞ established company in the US and started the pistol export to this country.

TISAŞ company, which is established in Turkey with the participation of Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation, exports 98% of pistols produced by itself to the world’s 22 countries. Two more countries except Azerbaijan hold negotiations with this company on production. TISAŞ company produces “Zigana” model pistols as well as “Fatih” and “Kanuni” pistols
