Minister: "Azerbaijan and Ukraine will jointly produce "Skif" and "Baryer" anti-tank guided missiles"

Azerbaijan and Ukraine will realize the joint production of "Skif" and "Baryer" anti-tank guided missiles, Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Jamalov said.

According to Jamalov, the discussions were held with towards it with "Denel" company of the Republic of South Africa. But the negotiations are protracting because Denel’s proposals don’t satisfy the Azerbaijani side.

"These rockets can be set both on the helicopters and on machines. It satisfy us as the alternative variant" – he said.

According to Jamalov, MDI’s experts will visit Ukraine on May 17-18 and will get acquainted with the local production there. Then the agreement on joint production of these rockets in Azerbaijan will be signed with "Luch" Constructor Buraeu.
