Big bread-baking plant to be built in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani company "Delta Group" signed a contract with German "Werner & Pfleiderer Bachverfahren Technik GmbH" on purchasing the equipment for bread production within the Azerbaijan-German Business Forum held in Munich, the Azerbaijani Ministry said.

According to the agreement, Sumgait will create a new enterprise with production capacity of 122 tons per day. It can produce 60 varieties of bread. It meets modern standards.

The new bread-baking plant will have the latest German technologies.

The total project cost is $ 15.4 million manat, of which five million manat concessional financing will be provided by the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support.

As a result, the project will create over 460 new jobs.

The business forum was organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and the Azerbaijani embassy in Germany with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development.

Besides Azerbaijani and German officials, about 90 businessmen specializing in agriculture and food industry, energy, finance, logistics, tourism and other spheres attended the event.
