ERC: Azerbaijan will observe deflation in summer months

Inflation is expected to reach two-digit in Azerbaijan, during this year, Gubad Ibadoglu, head of the Economic Research Center said.

According to him, the inflation is expected to be 11.2% in 2011 in accordance to the ERC’s researches: “0.2%-inflation is expected in May, 0.3%-inflation – in June, 0.1%-deflation in July. Deflation is related to seasonal factors”.

Inflation is expected to boost up by the end of this year. As a result, the monthly inflation is expected to reach 1.5%, in last month of the year.
