Azerbaijan extends shelf life of dairy products

The Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents has approved changes to the standards regulating production and storage of dairy products, the committee said today.

The State Committee has approved changes to the state standards of: AZS 089-2003 "Cottage Cheese: General specification", AZS 091-2003 "Ayran: Specification", AZS 092-2003 "Qatiq: General specification" and AZS 220-2006 "Dovga: General specification", and set the date for their implementation on April 20, 2011.

Given production technology, packaging methods and storage conditions of these products, the maximum shelf life was extended for each of these products.
