Economic Research Centre says annual inflation reaches 15% in Azerbaijan

The Economic Research Center has released the results of statistical monitoring of prices in 10 regions of Azerbaijan, in March, 2011.

The ERC says the Consumer Price Index rose 1.46% in Azerbaijan during March. The prices in Baku rose 1.56%, in regions – 1.35%. Annual inflation made 14.90%.

At the same time, The ERC has calculated the consumption basket on March. According to calculations, minimum per head consumption basket for able-bodied population made AZN 165.33, for pensioners – AZN 149.04, for 0-14 aged children – AZN 202.91. Able-bodied population’s minimum per head expenses for foods made AZN 106.04, pensioners – AZN 94.88, parents of 0-14 aged children – AZN 119.63.
