Q1 agriculture production increases by 5% in Azerbaijan

Total output of agriculture rose 5.3%, including vegetable products increased by 6.6%, animal products by 5.3% in January-March, 2011, compared to a year ago.

According to State Statistical Committee, as of April 1, sowing works was conducted in 110.6 thousand ha-areas.

Certain growth was observed in breeding area, too.

Note that, 8 400 tons of vegetable have been collected, since early 2011, up 16% compared to a year ago.
