Azerbaijan sees 0.3% growth in industrial production in January

Azerbaijan’s industrial production made AZN 7.5 billion during January, 2011, up 0.3% compared to a year ago, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to State Statistical Committee, the 74% or AZN 5.5 bln of industrial output was produced in mining sector, 19.3% or AZN 1.4 bln - in processing sector, 6.1% or AZN 454.3 mln - in electric energy, gas and steam sector, 0.6% in water supply, waste treatment and processing sector.

At the same time, the production in processing sector rose 3.4%, during the same period.

Note that, 99.8% of industrial production was sent to consumers in January-March, 2011. Besides, AZN 226.2 mln-finished goods remained in storehouses.
