Azerbaijan starts experimental sowing of Baltic potato sort

Azerbaijan will realize the experimental sowing of seeds imported from Baltic state, NESF Executive Director Shirzad Abdullayev said.

According to him, the projects on construction of refrigerating storehouse complex in vegetable producing regions (Barda, Aghjabadi, Tartar, Fuzuli, Gedabek and etc.) are being financed and the works on this direction will be continued, in the future too: "High-sorted seeds for potatoes have been brought from Baltic states. We’ll realize the experimental growing of these seeds, recently. If the sowing will be effective, we’ll start to apply this sort, from next year. One of the experimental growing wil be realized in Shemakha".
