Greece intends to increase export to Azerbaijan

Greece intends to increase the trade turnover with Azerbaijan, said the President of Hellenic Foreign Trade Board Alexandros Cholevas at Azerbaijan-Greece business-forum.

According to him, the trade turnover between two countries made ˆ 19.5 mln, in 2010. Greece sent to Azerbaijan ˆ 9.6 mln-goods, Azerbaijan sent - ˆ 9.9 mln-goods: "Azerbaijan ranks 92nd among the Greece’s foreign partners, 79th in terms of export. Azerbaijan has mainly exported to Greece oil and oil-chemical products and Greece exported products on pharmacology, construction, cosmetics and etc. We intend to cooperate in new spheres and increase the trade turnover. We have great potential".

HEPO President says Greece intends to increase the products on foods, construction and cosmetics: "Food industry makes 19% of Greece’s general trade turnover, construction products – 25%. We export our products to EU, USA and other countries".
