EBRD loans US $125 million to implement project on restoration of water and sewer systems in Ganja city

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) loaned US $125 million to implement a project on restoration of water and sewer systems in Ganja – the second largest city of Azerbaijan.

The long-term project will by consisted of three stages and realized by the governments of Azerbaijan and Germany, said chief of the project Burchard Klinberger at the presentation ceremony.

Vice-President of the EBRD Yeva Vit said the businessmen are keen to make investments in Azerbaijani regions.

Mayor of Ganja city Elmar Valiyev thanked the EBRD leadership and German specialists for assistance.
