SOCAR, Tamiz Shahar monitor to reveal illegal waste polygons

A working group established by the Environment Management of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Tamiz Shahar (Clean City) company carried out monitoring to detect illegal solid waste polygons at SOCAR’s industrial areas, the management reported.

The monitoring was conducted in Balakhani, Ramana, Zabrat, Sabunchu and Lokbatan. Monitoring data will be included in a report to be prepared on the basis of the process.

The next monitoring will be carried out in the villages of Mashtaga, Buzovna, Surakhani, Gala, Shagan and Pirallahi. Monitoring results will be reflected in the proposal for the elimination of illegal landfills of domestic waste at the industrial areas.
