Azerbaijan Railways is reviewing four companies' proposals in a tender to select the chief auditor to audit its financial statements in 2011, to provide consolidated audit support for railway transport and trade projects in 2009-2010 and to compile a draft audit for 2011.
Initially, five companies submitted their technical and financial proposals in the tender. After assessing the proposals, four companies passed the procedure as they receive the required minimum 70 points - Baker Tilly LLC (Azerbaijan) - 71.23 points, PricewaterhouseCoopers - 83.28 points, Ernst and Young (CIS) BV - 79.83 points and Deloitte and Touche - 86.69 points.
Bids were opened by the tender committee on Wednesday. The consultants are selected under World Bank procedures, as the WB funds the project.
