Azerbaijan will issue commemorative gold coin

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will issue commemorative gold coins on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the State Independence of Azerabaijan, the bank reported on Friday.

The Bank will issue the coins upon the Presidential Order "On twenties anniversary of independence of the Azerbaijan Republic".

The Bank will hold a contest in the country up to March 10, 2011 to design the commemorative coin.  Winner will receive a prize of $ 2,000 manat. A jury will asses the submitted designs and determines the winner. Design of the commemorative coin will be developed based on the selected draft.
