Ganja Car Plant, Agrolizing signs contract to supply machinery and equipment

The Ganja Car Plant and the state leasing company Agrolizing signed a contract to supply 500 units of tractors and the same number of rigging, Ganja Plant Head Khanlar Fatiyev said on Friday. Fatiyev said the parties signed a contract to supply a similar number of tractors and rigging in 2010.

The Ganja Car Plant established in 2004 assembles the products of the Minsk Tractor Plant for the domestic market. The contract for the assembly and sale of the whole range of trucks and tractors of the Minsk automobile and tractor plants in Azerbaijan was signed in late Nov. 2006 in Minsk. Ganja Plant is capable of assembling up to 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors per year. The plant also assembles Belarus tractors.

The Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers has recently amended the terms of lease for farm machinery and processing equipment through the state leasing company Agrolizing. According to the new conditions, legal and physical entities, who lease agricultural machinery and technological equipment from Agrolizing, must pay 10% of their value in the form of payment and the rest would be paid for 9 years, after the entities start to make payments a year after the prepayment.

Previously, if the equipment cost over 40.000 manat, deposit was 10% and at a cost of up to 40,000 manat, it was 20%.

JSC Agrolizing was established in Oct. 2004 and is part of the Agriculture Ministry. The organization has a service center in 55 regions of the country.

In 2011, the state budget allocation for Agrolizing is going to be 35 million manat. Of these, 12 million manat will be spent on the purchase of tractors and agricultural equipment, while 12 million manat will be spent on mineral fertilizers and 11 million manat on technological equipment.
