Azerbaijan to sell oil to United States

Azerbaijan will sell oil to USA at the result of swap operations to be conducted among Belarus, Azerbaijan and Venezuela, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said.

According to him, Venezuela will sell 5 mln tons of oil to Belarus, per year, in accordance to contract signed between Venezuela and Belarus. Azerbaijan will deliver this capacity to Belarus.

In exchange for this, Venezuela will sell oil 5 mln tons of oil to Azerbaijan.

"Azerbaijan will send this oil from Venezuela to US markets by tankers, without bringing it to Azerbaijan."
