Azerbaijan to double gas export to Syria

Azerbaijan intends to double gas export to Syria, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said. According to him, Azerbaijan will export 1 bcm of gas from 2012. This will be doubled from 2015.

"Presently, talks on technical sides and tariffs for transportation of Azeri gas through Turkey are held with BOTAS Company. These works will be continued next year and Azerbaijan will double gas export to Syria from 2012."
