Azerbaijan's Shamkir HPS ups power generation

In January-November, the Shamkir cascade hydropower station has generated 1.52 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in Azerbaijan, Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan) said.

The cascade consists of Shamkir and Yenikend HPSs. Of the total volume of power generated in the January-November, over one billion kilowatt-hours fells to Shamkir HPS and 446.8 million in Yenikend HPS.

In November, the cascade produced over 66 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which is more by 3.4% than the forecasted.
