Chile keen on development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in energy sphere

During visit the Azerbaijani diplomat met the chief of the department on Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile Daniel Carvalho Cepernik, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in this country said.

I. Mukhtarov conveyed the letter of the head of foreign policy department of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile Alfredo Moreno Charme. At the meeting, prospects of bilateral cooperation on a number of fields were discussed, including questions of development of relations in the field of culture, education, trade and economic sphere.

D. Karvalho expressed interest of the Chilean state in deepening of relations with Azerbaijan in various spheres, expansion of commercial relations and cooperation development in energy filed.

I. Mukhtarov informed official representatives of the Chilean foreign policy department on history of Azerbaijan, occupation of the Azerbaijani lands by Armenia and the policy of ethnic cleaning carried out by aggressor, the negotiating process on settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, etc.
