Azerbaijan raises defense production by 3.2 times

The defense industry officials discussed the results of the production and financial facility activities, as well as future plans in accordance with the working schedule. The ministry continued to carry out measures considered by the State Defense Order Program for 2010 and signed AZN 82-million deals with the security agencies of the country. The defense goods production was increased for 3.2 times.

According to the State Defense Order Program 108 goods on 98 subjects are considered to produce this year. 6 subjects have been already done in 45 phases and work is continued to reach other phases.

Top officials of the production associations and enterprises delivered reports and received recommendations toward the implementation of the State Defense Order Program and other prognosis indicators.

Minister Yaver Jamalov highly appreciated the work of the production associations and enterprises and said the ministry would mobilize all its potential for the strengthening of defense power of the country and arms and ammunition supply of the Armed Forces according to the modern requirements.
